Its Someone's Birthday

Birthdays are reason for being happy no matter what is going on in your life and no matter how you are dealing with life. But, here we are and we wish our dear friend and our team member a very Happy and Cheerful Birthday.

Now, here is something about her we want to share :

Ankita from her birth is known for her cuteness and so is the reason why everyone's tempted to call her Cutie/Guddi. Anki is a lover of rock music and from her 4th class started off with English music. She now lend her ears to all genre, one thing which she observes in a music is the lyrics, the words that would make her feel. The best part in her is she doesn't go for popularity, even the music is a blockbuster she wouldn't like it unless she actually likes it.
One instance that I would like to draw out here is of the song Kolaveri, a thousand time I may have requested her to listen to this song but the faces she would make, trust me, one can really and instantly, shut the music off and watch her. She is damn cute.
Jal being one of her favorite band, she also like to hear Jay Sean a lot. I can't figure out what is her best music so far, because she always say me that "I go with the mood, when I am upset I can't listen a Jay Sean track rather Jal would do and when I am in a charming mood Jay's music will do". That's what I like about her.
She is damn lover of animals or I can say in reverse, Animals do love her a lot. Whenever I and my other team member(Sushovan Parida) use to see Ankita with an animal, particularly, a dog, a cat, a cow and so on, we would discuss that how any animal go so comfortable with someone, like this.
She is very talented in whatever she does and we are proud to have her on this blog and in our life.
If we did any mistake then please forgive us.

Wish you a very very very Happy Birthday and may you live happily always in you life.

dabangg2poster

Sequels definitely have a high underlying expectation from the audience, be it for the movie or the music. But,  frankly, music creates the first impression and that lasts long, and may be, raise the potential for the movie irrespective of its story. Keeping all speculations aside, we now talk of the much awaited sequel of the fourth highest grossing movie in bollywood of all time, and the expectations seem meaningless to count. The music album is released very soon after the official track-list release (Dabangg 2 Official Track list). Sajid – Wajid surely, are extremely excited to fabricate the music of this blockbuster sequel and it shows prominently in their compositions. Both being Indian music lovers, try hard to stick to the basic Instruments and less synthesisers, and yes, they give a lot of justice to their thoughts. The package has a song and remix combo, as everyone is aware of it, from the track-list, indeed no surprises!

dabangg2-story_111212122831

Let’s take a tour into the Sajid – Wajid world of music…

1. Dagabaaz Re – by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghosal, Shadaab Faridi - Sweet music backed by cute lyrics, seems somewhat similar to Tere Mast mast do nain, as far as the set up is concerned. Whilst the music lone is new and definitely refreshing and quite soothing to ears. SW go orthodox, using the Tabla which raises the level of the song and creates a 100% compatibility with Rahat ji’s voice. Of course, this isn’t the music the teen mass would love to hear (no offense), but our senior citizens and elders would definitely, tap their foot and click their fingers listening this.

My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5, Mood – Get – together, Dance, Special Occasion.

2. Pandeyjee Seeti – by Wajid, Mamta Sharma, Shreya Ghosal – Reminding of Humka peeni hai, this song definitely has some connection with a scene in police station as did the former song. Again, Mamta enters the song with Munni Badnaam huyi, and fades away fast, where Shreya takes the mike which was a bit unnecessary. I felt this song was recorded in a hurry and chaotically including a copy from Challat Musafir which again was not needed. A song sung by three singers and nobody gets the spot light only because the song couldn’t justify the singers' roles.Yes, one thing which is good, the lyrics, which will make the Dabangg audience feel better and get them up on their feet. For me, this was a way too over – excited song.
My Ratings for the song – 2.5/5, Mood – Marriage Procession, A desi party, anything that deals with free dance style.
3. Fevicol Se – by Mamta Sharma, Wajid, Keerti Sagathia, Uvie, Shadaab Faridi – SW finally, have come up with another to be, sensational item song, starring Kareena Kapoor, which for sure is getting the nation to groove in.The lyrics are purely Desi, and by desi, I mean, ekdum kadak, Mamta goes purely sensuous with her tone for this song and the punch line beat seems to catch the attention other than anything. The use of Dhol, Nagada, drums is superb. The video is definitely going to take it to some unbelievable level. I wonder, what step would Salman be doing for the song. This is the song which can take the Dabangg 2 banner a lot higher than it would be minus the 'fevicol' song.
My Ratings for the song – 4.5/5 Mood – Anytime, trust me and you start dancing.not when you are emotionally low.

4. Saanson Ne – by Sonu Nigam and Tulsi Kumar – Another music which would not create much impression, irrespective of the talent used for this song. Tulsi Kumar goes more nasal this time and the music is nowhere catchy. Lyrics, too are not that great to talk about and just because the banner is so big, the expectation we have is natural and with this song the audience would definitely be disappointed. No more comments on the song because it has failed to reach the expected level.
My Ratings for the song – 2/5, Mood – maybe when you are bored with all the other tracks.(no hard feelings).

5. Dabangg Reloaded – Hud Hud Dabangg created a tag line that across the nation was popular, and in Dabangg 2 same words gets repeated and nothing is new to the sequel. That is the only disappointing fact that we have for this song. Yet the music is powerful and dumdaar and with Sukhwinder Singh everything seems energetic. The starting music seems to be lifted from a song (wouldn’t name that Oscar nominated movie). The song seems to be a remix/power-mix of the original Hud Hud Dabangg. But, if we forget the Original one we can give good ratings to this track.
My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5 Mood – jogging, work out, driving.

The full album has some vital use of saxophone to remind of Dabangg music but the utilisation was not that great. SW, has disappointed with the full album yet some song, actually two songs seems nice and rest doesn’t match the level. There are 3 remix songs in and after hearing them I would say, they share equal stage with the real song except for Fevicol se, as the original track is way better. All I can say is, we need to wait for the video may be the choreography and the cinematography would do a lot of justice to the movie and keep the songs last within audience till 21st Dec. And when all else fails, we always have 'Sallu Bhai' to the rescue!
My Ratings for the Album – 3/5

A Deal with God

By Ankita Singh Deo

Running up that Hill

Artist- Kate Bush
Album- Hounds of Love
Released- 5th August, 1985

There are songs, and then, there is this. Powerful lyrics and breathtaking music. A song that you can’t stop listening to. A song that you can’t stop talking about.
Running up that hill, written by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, was the first single from her 1985 album Hounds of Love, released in the UK on 5 August 1985. It was the most successful of Bush's 1980s releases, entering the UK chart at No. 9 and eventually peaking at No. 3. The single also had an impact in the US, giving Bush her first chart hit there since 1978, where it reached the top 30, and featured prominently within the Dance Charts.

The song has everything. It comes across as passionate, painful, sensuous and chilling, all at the same time. ‘Is there so much hate for the ones we love? Tell me, we both matter, don't we? It's you and me. You and me won't be unhappy.’ The lines exude the brutal truths of love, establishing the fragile ties between love and lust, loss and pain, understanding and sacrifice. How one is willing to bear another’s pain by getting God to swap their places.
Allmusic journalist Amy Hanson wrote: "Always adept at emotion and beautifully able to manipulate even the most bitter of hearts, rarely has Bush penned such a brutally truthful, painfully sensual song."
About the song, Kate herself has said-
“I was trying to say that, really, a man and a woman can't understand each other because we are a man and a woman. And if we could actually swap each other's roles, if we could actually be in each other's place for a while, I think we'd both be very surprised! And I think it would lead to a greater understanding. And really the only way I could think it could be done was either... you know, I thought a deal with the devil, you know. And I thought, 'well, no, why not a deal with God!' You know, because in a way it's so much more powerful the whole idea of asking God to make a deal with you.”

Alternative rock band Placebo covered "Running Up that Hill", releasing it originally on the bonus disc of their 2003 album Sleeping with Ghosts, then featuring it on Covers and the US version of Meds in 2007. Placebo's take on the song is more downbeat than the original.

The song also featured in many popular television series, The Vampire Diaries, The O.C. and Bones

The song has been lent an extraordinary feel by Placebo which haunts you in amazing ways and justifies the band’s incomparable brand of dark, licentious rock beautifully.

Race 2 Official Trailer Unleashed

Music Director – Pritam Chakroborthy
Lyrics – Mayur Puri and Prashant Ingole
Director – Abbas Mastan (AM)

Race_2_Poster

The thriller yet sensuous  film by Abbas Mastan (AM), Race has its sequel set ready for a blast, a day before the Replubic day of India. Yes, AM have reserved 25th Jan, 2013 the day for the RACE. With a little change in the actors and the actress in the banner, the movie seems to be full of energy and revenge as from the trailer, which has a beginning dialogue, “Badla jitna purana hota hai, utna hi Khatarnak hota hai”. The music is really going to be awesome, remarking to the benchmark set by RACE. The posters and theatrical is released over the web world wide. The trailer, signifies some major portions for some actors and actress aka Racers, Saif, John and Deepika are those who were seen more in the trailer than others. Guess they have some major role in the movie. Amisha and Anil seem to be predictive with their characters as Sameera and Anil in Race. Jacqueline has some edge in the movie for sure and now we just wait for the music first and then the movie.

The trailer for this movie seems to be appealing enough to drag the audience into theatres, unlike to the amount of real action shown in it, there exists huge amount of glamour and dialogues that could be the secret element. AM have their own style of using cars and the action focussed on the car, and with cool cars the action seems just unexplainable. By having a look at the trailer one can imagine what AM has in store for us to watch in this movie, a power-packed, energetic and stylish movie to watch for. Hope the music creates an impact and sweep of our feet while grooving to the rhythm of RACE 2.

Taylor Made RED For You

Review By Ankita Singh Deo

RED - Taylor Swift (Music Review)
Artist
: Taylor Swift

Released - October 22, 2012.

Taylor Swift is back with her fourth music album and how! The album is huge, has sixteen songs with amazing variety. The album holds an ocean of mixed emotions and sounds. The ease with which she narrates all the different facets of love with drastic detailing deserves admiration. A 16 song album takes quite some time to absorb, but be prepared to experience a roller-coaster ride of emotions and some great music.

So just put on your seatbelts and enjoy the ride. Here goes!

State of Grace - With this song we get to see a completely different side of Swift, which is surely a pleasant surprise. The way she sings out ‘I never saw you coming and I’ll never be the same’ is dreamy! Love can be a state of grace if you just follow your heart and do the right things. This song is a daring diversion from the typical Taylor swift feel and God! She’s good at it!

Red - The shades of life remain unknown till you fall in love. The song explores the colors of love. Red signifies a myriad of emotions. Red is the joy of falling in love, the passion of being together, the pain of loneliness and the regrets and consequences of falling apart, all coming together. This song summarizes the complete album.

Treacherous - A delicate and soft song with a hypnotizing voice. Through this song Swift says that love hurts. But the pain is sweet and you never seem to get enough of it. You know what you’re getting into but you can’t help it. The song makes you fall in love with it the first time you listen to it.

I knew you were Trouble - I am a sucker for songs like this, so bear with me if I sound like a kid talking about his new toy!
J ‘I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now.’ A song with great attitude, frank lyrics, awesome music, amazing vibe and what not. The track actually takes off when it reaches the chorus. And by the time it gets over, I'm playing it again! :-P

All too well - It is an intrepid, honest and confessional ballad, with abundant detailing. This is the way any one would recollect every little moment of her love, which makes the song easily relatable. The minute specificity of the lyrics makes it a pleasant listen.

22 - ‘Happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way.’ The song aptly describes how it feels at 22, so much going on inside the heart and still having fun. This is an upbeat and fun song that you can crazily dance to. The perfect song for a girls’ party.

I Almost Do - This is a touching song which talks about those awkward feelings and the dilemma in the heart after breaking up, when deep inside there is a part of you that still cares and the immense effort it takes to hold oneself back from going back to the one who isn't yours any more. The deep pain in the lyrics comes out magically.

We Are Never Getting Back Together - Portraying breaking up as such a cool thing is one thing that only Miss. Swift could have done. The song says- ‘I thought our love would be epic but if you don’t care, why should I. I'm stronger than you think and strong enough to end this. And this time it’s over for good.’ In this song TS dazzles like never before.

Stay, Stay, Stay - It is a girly song with a happy melody and cute lyrics. ‘I just like hanging out with you’ says about the first feeling when you start liking someone and then reaching a point when you realize that you can’t risk losing that person, said by-‘I’d like to hang out with you all my life.’ Deep emotions brought out so easily.

The Last Time - Swift teams up with Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol to create this epic duet. The song is about the questions of a broken heart which wonders how its love could end so easily. This is undoubtedly the most mature track in the album both lyrically and sonically.

Holy Ground - This song celebrates the spirit of love. It tells you the feeling of love at first sight and how every moment spent together and every place you've been together becomes so special. A catchy and happy song.

Sad, Beautiful, Tragic - The song is sad in a beautiful way. It is a sensitive take on the failed glory of lost love. When you’re in love it feels like magic and when it’s over its nothing less than a tragedy. Don’t be surprised if you end up in tears listening to this one, particularly if you've ever had a ‘beautiful magic love affair’.

The Lucky One - Here, TS flawlessly talks of everything that comes with being famous, how life changes and people drift apart. A sensitive topic with a groovy tune which appeals in a strange way.

Everything Has Changed - This is the second duet in the album featuring Ed Sheeran, the two voices impeccably complementing each other. ‘And all I feel in my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind’. It is about falling in love the second time, when you’re curious yet careful. ‘I just want to know you better’.

Starlight - The way this song hits off it almost feels like liquid light pouring in from everywhere. But somehow it reminds me of Kylie Minogue’s songs in so many ways. But does it even matter? The song is great. It makes me want to say- Oh my! What a marvellous tune.

Begin Again - This is a song I could go on and on about. It talks about a fresh start and new beginnings. The song is about recollections of a past relationship and all the things he hated about you, and how he wanted to change you, told in outstanding lyrics like ‘All love ever does is break and burn and end.’ You’re still not out of it when suddenly things begin to change. Silently adoring someone. The someone who doesn't find flaws, doesn't want to change you, makes you realize you are in love again. And this time around, it is here to stay. The song gives a hope for a better tomorrow. The perfect song to end the album.

Red, is till date, unquestionably the most experimental and dynamic record by Taylor Swift and she carries it off with élan and undeniable charm. The album rightfully justifies the fact why she is faithfully worshipped among her fans. This album sure is ‘burning RED.’!

P.S:- No ratings… I just love it!

The Musical KHILADI

Review By Sidhant Raj

Khiladi 786 – Made in Punjab (Music Review)

Cast – Akhshay Kumar, Asin Thottumkal

Music – Himesh Reshamiya

Director – Ashish R Mohan

Lyrics – Shabbir Ahmed

Movie Release Date – 7th of December, 2012

Khiladi 420
and now Khiladi 786, Akhshay has been the khiladi boy of the Bollywood for about 12 years and now he resumes the project Khiladi with Rab, Jigar and the holy(bahhattar) number “786”. Khiladi 786, the upcoming movie of the Action Hero of the 90’s who turned to comedy genre for over a decade and with the blockbuster Rowdy Rathore, few months back, he pulls the cart again. The effort, Akhshay is trying to make with his action skills again, seems to be appealing and catchy to all the fans and non-fans (no offense) all over India and may be around the globe.

Coming to the man behind the instruments and Synthesiser (his favourite), Himesh Reshamiya who is associated with The 786 banner in every field, be it music, screenplay and even acting. Yes, you heard it right; he has a part in the movie. Of course, HR needs no introduction with his music skills. Let's check out what HR has in store for us, the album and the audio cd was released recently on the first week of the November and people had a lot of expectation from HR and he manages to pull off well. With 12 tracks (including remixes) HR tries to engage the audience with his big list.

With a film, having holy spirits, humour and action, HR manages to bring in, tracks completely fitting into the demand. The music of Khiladi 786 doesn’t have something great but it’s something that would create some curiosity. Except few, there is nothing new to the melody with HR in this.

Here is the song by song review just for you:

1. Lonely – by Himesh Reshamiya, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Hamsika Iyer – The song has a start with a good use of Saxophone, and , and enter Honey Singh with his style unchanged. Himesh tried to make this song a complete disappointment with all his efforts checked. Firstly, he included “lonely” word to a song whose lyrics sounds well and a good sad number. Secondly, making the song a humour with his bad part, singing with nasal voice. Thirdly, he included one of his evergreen compositions, Teri yaad saath hai, from the movie, Namastey London. Truly, I couldn’t figure out what was HR trying to do with this. Rest is history.

My Ratings for the song – 0.5/5

2. Balma – by Shriram and Shreya Ghosal – HR, gave a sensible start with a song dedicated to R.D. Burman, wherein he included Burman’s trademark, “Hah Hah” in the song, he also mixed his own music with the background beats, Burman Style. But, indeed as far as the start is concerned it is not that enough to make the audience to hear for. From a very good start, the music goes flat in the whole song. The singers have done their job well and reserved their appreciation. The song would have been catchier. A song post to the opening song should have grabbed more but apparently it hasn’t.

My Rating for this song – 2/5

3. Long Drive – by Mika Singh – Finally, a solo singer, and here is Mika with his obvious charm and trend. This would be the song; I would suggest everyone to go for. The start is little slow but the graph takes the height, the moment the e-guitar synthesises. One of the classy background base music, I would rate for and there is Mika to take charge. The most awesome part is the suspense; be patient and you get the real HR music on your ear drums, thumping. With Punjabi hook words in the song, this song is really going to be the one. Hopefully a good video should take it to a new level.

My Rating for this song – 4/5

4. Sari Sari Raat – by Himesh Reshamiya – The music is all about what we talk here and the composition that HR has given is definitely new and refreshing. No techie comments as the music is awesome. One thing HR couldn’t manage to make new is his nasal voice venture. He has a good voice and I have heard to a lot of his tracks and he never got that nasal before. Hat’s off to your earlier compositions Sir, but this nasal voice seems more deliberate than natural.

My Rating for this song - 3/5

5. Hookah Bar – by Himesh Reshamiya, Vineet Singh and Aman Trikha – When I hear this particular track, I get myself to believe that I am hearing the songs, 5 to 6 years back, when HR gave that fast tempo beats mix. No complaints with the track, which has an excellency with the beats and variations in the vocals, including the punch line music, which is great. What I wonder, is the audience reactions, as in, the old music might have been faded out by now. This try from HR gives the audience a reason to believe that there is still room for all that great music he gave earlier.

My Rating for this song – 2.5/5

6. Khiladi Bhaiya Khiladi – by Vineet Singh, Aman Trikha, Yashraj Kapil, Alam Gir Khan, Rajdeep Chatterjee – All the chorus and the classical approach to this song reminds of the title song of Dabangg, yet the lyrics again are a disappointment using a bad mix of English, Hindi and Punjabi words. HR disappoints again, and it seems audience will not play the song for a full length. One thing is great in the music is the time Khiladi Bhaiya Khiladi comes and rest becomes flat. It just seems like a Kavita and not a song for a banner like KHILADI 786.

My Rating for this song – 2.5/5

7. Tu Hoor Pari - by Javed Ali, Shreya Ghosal, Chandrakala Singh and Harshdeep Kaur – Finally, a track which could live up to the expectations of the audience. All the singers including HR made the music worthy of listening and can definitely work in the long run. The start by Harshdeep has raised the level with her awesome folk Punjabi style. Javed lends his support really well and he is worth appreciation. Shreya’s part is a little interesting; her part has that hidden element of the 60’s and 70’s track. All in all, this track can possibly make it big.

My Rating for this song – 3/5

After all the main tracks, let’s have a look on what remixes have inside. The remixes has been just as average as the songs are and they seem to be unnecessary and only increase the size of the album. Himesh said that the album is addictive and by the time the film hits the theatre the songs would raise their level of appreciation. I hope he predicts well but, I wouldn’t stand for what he explains. Rather, Himesh should show some real talent what he has. Well, after the music review I would just advice the audience to wait for the movie to be on the silver screens. A lot of time left for the release of the movie and I hope the music doesn’t fade out the Khiladi spirits in audience. All the Best to Akki and HR and all the team members associated with K786. One last question, Where is Tulsi Kumar? :P
My Rating for the album – 2.5/5.

Meet The ZEPHYR

Zephyr - The Band

Members :
Sabyasachi Das: Rhythm Guitarist, Support vocalist

Kelvin Denish: Drummer

Swagat Kumar: Bassist and vocalist

Nitish: Lead Guitarist

Gautam Nanda: Vocalist

Saurav Pal: Rhythm (Electric guitar)

(Description by Sabyasachi Das)
Music is the wine which inspires one to new generative processes, and I am Bacchus who presses out this glorious wine for mankind and makes them spiritually drunken ~ Ludwig van Beethoven
It’s in the wind, the air, the chirruping of birds, the river, the drops of rain, the thunder. Music is omnipresent. It’s all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up. All you have to do is listen through your heart. It’s a miracle. It connects you with the almighty. It connects two souls.

Zephyr ‘, the band was formed with no motive other than passion. The members of the band have a single thing in common. It’s the enormous love for music. A leisure time activity of playing music inspired them to make their own recipe with the drums, guitars and keyboards. It was definitely an awe-inspiring experience.

Making of a band is really an arduous task. You need passion for it, deep love for it and resources to make it big. We had the first two things in abundance. The band started with four members. Sabyasachi, Kelvin, Nitesh and Gautam and later on was fortified with Swagat and Sourav.

Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent. So The Zephyr came up with the idea of making some original stuff; making music that depicts their feelings, emotions and a story that they can narrate in the form a song.

The first song that Zephyr composed was an Odiya song ‘Sanga Mane Pade’ about friendship. The song portrays the phases of friendship: the childhood days, the school days, the college days, how we all rejoiced the moments and at last we hanker for the good old days. The soothing background music combined with the touching lyrics makes this Song an instant choice for the Youth. This fresh new Song is already earning good views in YouTube.

We queried the Band about their Origin and this is what Sabyasachi Das had to say -
Swagat is in his final semester of post graduation in music. He is a jewel we have; full of creativity, passion and love for music. Composing a song was fun for us. I still remember the day we started composing it. It was raining a lot. We were at Nitesh’s place. The hour hand of the clock was on 10. And we had a plate of samosas and two acoustic guitars. Thanks to Kelvin, the drummer of Zephyr, for coming up with a good theme and few lines of the lyrics. Well that was the beginning. For the next ten days we immersed ourselves into the river of symphony, rhythm and notes. We swam across it. The journey was gratifying, swift and intoxicating

Zephyr - Sanga Mane Pade Video

All I can say is that The Band Zephyr have perfectly justified their name creating a new wave of refreshing music that touches our thoughts and emotions.
All the Best to the Zephyr in their Journey of Music!

In TALAASH Of Good Music!

Review By Sidhant Raj

Talaash – The Answer Lies Within (Music Album Review)

CastAamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor

MusicRam Sampath

DirectorReema Kagti

Lyrics
Javed Akhtar

Movie Release Date30th November, 2012
The most awaited movie by the Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, finally released its music album recently on 18th of October, 2012. The movie was in the limelight for about a year and more and adding to this was the delay in the release date for about a year. Although, we will not land on those grounds but we focus on the music, engineered by Ram Sampath

After being associated with Delly Belly and then the reality show, Satyamev Jayate which grabbed the attention of the whole nation, Ram Sampath turns out to be pro for making generic music which goes with the theme of The Movie. The music of Talaash speaks all about the story line and the material inside the movie. With 6 tracks in store including a remix, which is basically done by him as well, explains his credentials with the melody. Of course, the whole section of appreciation rather, another man who has an equal contribution just because of the words in the song which obviously raised the level of all the songs in the album, Javed Akhtar. One more master piece adds to his list. (I wonder how he plays with the words, maybe I could do that too!).

Here is my review just for you.

1. Mushkanein Jhooti hai – by Suman Sridhar- This song unseemingly is a head start to the film and is surely creating some buzz for the movie. Suman Sridhar with her unique vocals manages effortlessly to make it to those old pub style dance music. The song was a must for a suspense movie and with words describing that all is nothing but fake in the world. Excellent work done for the lyrics and for the music, tempo, beats and rhythm seems okay.

My Ratings for this Song – 2.5/5, Mood – Dinner Table, Restaurants, Driving

2. Jee le Zaraa – by Vishal Dadlani – You know what we need to talk of, no? Its right here, yet another piece by Vishal and this time a romantic number. Definitely is going to draw all the attention undoubtedly. The new beats and tune seems very refreshing, though the music goes a little low only on the pitch which is not the concern but it needed to extend a little further to what it is. The lyrics are awesome, including the music and start and end is smooth which really defines it, to be a intense and romantic number.

My Rating for this song – 4/5, Mood – With/Without your soulmate

3. Jiya Lage Na – by Sona Mohapatra & Ravindra Upadhayay – A modern classical song is a new surprise to talk of. The use of unorthodox Hindi and Sanskrit words explains about the “Near but Far” sense and embedding a fast e-beat with a hand with Tabla, takes it to be another hit for Sona. Ravindra did play his part equally well with no complaints either and both of them making this song a soothing piece for the audience.

My Ratings for this song – 3.5/5, Mood – Sleeping, Rainy Season

4. Hona Hai Kya – by Ram Sampath – With no title track to the movie, Ram, could possibly include this track to justify the genre of the movie and here it is, which he himself has sung, knowing his voice would definitely create a depth in the song. The tempo of the song is quite ravishing. Starting with a slow graph the tempo steeps to a level from where the actual feel starts. Including an e-form of the shout that Pancham Da used to make, is definitely a good Job, RS!

My Ratings for the Music – 3.5/5, Mood – Driving, Bar, Disco

5. Laakh Duniya Kahe – by Ram Sampath – Yet again Ram on the mikes, with a master piece lyrics by Javed Akhtar, and a sweet, soothing and cute romantic ballad which enters right into your veins. It’s the music and the lyrics that play with each other and finally turns out to be one more top level song for the album. The chorus with some female voice seems a good combo. Some portions like “Tumne chhoda kab saath mera, thaame ho aaj bhi haath mera, koi manjil koi rehgujar ho, aaj bhi tum mere humsafar ho…jaun chahe jahaan tum wahin ho…” 1st stanza, should definitely go into a loop.

My Ratings for the music – 4/5, Mood – Sleeping, Driving, Thinking, Having a coffee

Overall, the album with a less number of tracks manages to keep the spirit of the audience for the movie. Javed Akhtar, Ram Sampath with all the singers should be appreciated as a whole. The disappointing part was theme music for the album which I don’t know why Ram didn’t get an idea of. The remix of the song Jee le zaraa was unessential. Yet, Ram manages to bring out variety in the genre of music but falls back at some points. I must say Ram and his team have done their work and now it’s the time for Reema to catch the audience with her intellect. Till then groove to the songs and wait till 30th Nov strikes in your calendar.
My Ratings for the Album – 3/5.

The BUS STOP Music Adda - (Bus Stop – Lover’s Adda Music Review)

Review By Sidhant Raj

Cast Prince, Nandita

MusicJB, G.Anil

DirectorMaruthi

ProducerBellamkonda Suresh

Movie Release Date 7th November, 2012

Bus stop
, a romantic story to hit the theatres on the 7th of November this year had its audio launch at various events recently, sponsored by “Maa television”. The response from the audience is quite well, eager to hear JB’s new composition after “Ee Rojullo”. JB had his homework done and released the music the audience wanted to listen. He released 6 tracks out of which 5 are with vocals and 1 instrumental.

Here is a song by song review just for you!

1.Bus Stop – by Revanth, Sudha Jeevan and Prudvi – The song starts with a single beat and goes for a thump, though in the song there are dialogues mentioning the theme about Bus stop being the ultimate lover’s adda. Good collection for the adda people and stands out to be in the music list of mp3 player.

My rating for the song – ❸/⑤

2. Kalalake Kanulochina – by Revanth – Another song to talk about beats, a romantic number to add to the list. The echo and the tempo of the song fit to be said as a nice song. This particular song may raise the album ratings. Kalalake Kanulochina that means dreams in your eyes, surely promises to be the top song of the album.

My rating for the song - ❹/⑤

3. I love you – by Rahul
- Using most of the hindi words, Masakkali, Annarkali, fanna and many more with an intention to catch the audience in a different way using an orthodox telugu tune didn’t actually turned out to be as expected. There were already 2 songs to take care of the footloose track and was surely not necessary to include this. Still, with a good combination of drums and classical instruments the song seems a 50 50 on likings of the audience.

My rating for the song - ❷/⑤

4. Rekkalochina Prema – by Karthik – Finally, a sad romantic tune to talk of, when your love gets wings, nice lyrics and nice music, that’s all one can say about this track. Truly, a piece to listen and the feelings raised by the video which is not quite disappointing though. An equal competitor to kalalake kanulochina to raise the likes for this album.

My rating for the song - ❹/⑤

5. Pattuko Pattuko – by Chinna Ponnu- Now this is the thing one should talk for and a true and fair utilisation of the south desi beats and the energy shown by Chinna is way above the expectations of the audience. Tamil words and Telugu words mixed together would definitely attract a lot of listeners.

My rating for the song - ❹/⑤

6. Theme Music – Instrumental – A theme which is fast and having fast speaks about some thrilling moments in the movie. The theme would definitely arouse curiosity amongst the audience about the film. Music seems to be a disco track and a one minute theme seems little disappointing.

My rating for the song - ❷/⑤

Album Rating: ❷/⑤

Overall the music promises to make the movie watch-worthy, rest is upto the storyline when Bus Stop hit the theatres. JB did an awesome work with his skills but, this being a romantic movie, missed out including a slow romantic number that would drag the audiences to the theatres.

Desi Girl IN MY CITY !

Review By Ankita Singh Deo

Artists - Priyanka Chopra

Featuring - will.i.am and Red One

Released - October 2012 (Thursday Night NFL Kick-Off)

Priyanka Chopra’s international singing venture has been doing the rounds of the news for more than a year now. Now that her first international single is finally out for over a month, it surely has got her international fan-following.

Coming to the song,

Sources say, PC’s first single created ripples around the world, making it to the top 100 of US charts within a week. It even made its debut on the Billboard, making her the first Indian singer to be featured on the website.

My take on the song:

Being an Indian and being in a Bollywood-crazy country, all the speculations and excitement around this song had built up huge expectations of a powerful piece of work from the multi-talented and ambitious lady.

The song starts off on a somewhat awkward computerized beat. Step in PC. And the first thing you are bound to notice is that famous accent, which somehow bothers me at too many points through the song and keep me from being able to enjoy it. And that voice sounds a little too perfect (read: auto-tuned :P). The section by will.i.am is just okay. The lyrics are clearly amateurish and too simple, yet meaningful in away and appropriate for conveying the message she wishes to. The music and the rhythm are peppy and listenable but nothing very special.

The good part.

The first Indian to step out into the International pop scenario, with a fairly good first attempt, makes us all proud, doesn't it? Now we know for sure that this girl can sing. (I personally feel her husky and sensuous voice is to die for!)

According to news, she’s been busy shooting the official video for the song across different places all over India for a month now; which I'm sure all of us are eagerly waiting for.

And as PC puts it, “Good, bad, ugly. It’ll be mine to remember.”…

And us to watch out for!
