Its Someone's Birthday

Birthdays are reason for being happy no matter what is going on in your life and no matter how you are dealing with life. But, here we are and we wish our dear friend and our team member a very Happy and Cheerful Birthday.

Now, here is something about her we want to share :

Ankita from her birth is known for her cuteness and so is the reason why everyone's tempted to call her Cutie/Guddi. Anki is a lover of rock music and from her 4th class started off with English music. She now lend her ears to all genre, one thing which she observes in a music is the lyrics, the words that would make her feel. The best part in her is she doesn't go for popularity, even the music is a blockbuster she wouldn't like it unless she actually likes it.
One instance that I would like to draw out here is of the song Kolaveri, a thousand time I may have requested her to listen to this song but the faces she would make, trust me, one can really and instantly, shut the music off and watch her. She is damn cute.
Jal being one of her favorite band, she also like to hear Jay Sean a lot. I can't figure out what is her best music so far, because she always say me that "I go with the mood, when I am upset I can't listen a Jay Sean track rather Jal would do and when I am in a charming mood Jay's music will do". That's what I like about her.
She is damn lover of animals or I can say in reverse, Animals do love her a lot. Whenever I and my other team member(Sushovan Parida) use to see Ankita with an animal, particularly, a dog, a cat, a cow and so on, we would discuss that how any animal go so comfortable with someone, like this.
She is very talented in whatever she does and we are proud to have her on this blog and in our life.
If we did any mistake then please forgive us.

Wish you a very very very Happy Birthday and may you live happily always in you life.

Sequels definitely have a high underlying expectation from the audience, be it for the movie or the music. But,  frankly, music creates the first impression and that lasts long, and may be, raise the potential for the movie irrespective of its story. Keeping all speculations aside, we now talk of the much awaited sequel of the fourth highest grossing movie in bollywood of all time, and the expectations seem meaningless to count. The music album is released very soon after the official track-list release (Dabangg 2 Official Track list). Sajid – Wajid surely, are extremely excited to fabricate the music of this blockbuster sequel and it shows prominently in their compositions. Both being Indian music lovers, try hard to stick to the basic Instruments and less synthesisers, and yes, they give a lot of justice to their thoughts. The package has a song and remix combo, as everyone is aware of it, from the track-list, indeed no surprises!

dabangg2-story_111212122831

Let’s take a tour into the Sajid – Wajid world of music…

1. Dagabaaz Re – by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghosal, Shadaab Faridi - Sweet music backed by cute lyrics, seems somewhat similar to Tere Mast mast do nain, as far as the set up is concerned. Whilst the music lone is new and definitely refreshing and quite soothing to ears. SW go orthodox, using the Tabla which raises the level of the song and creates a 100% compatibility with Rahat ji’s voice. Of course, this isn’t the music the teen mass would love to hear (no offense), but our senior citizens and elders would definitely, tap their foot and click their fingers listening this.

My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5, Mood – Get – together, Dance, Special Occasion.

2. Pandeyjee Seeti – by Wajid, Mamta Sharma, Shreya Ghosal – Reminding of Humka peeni hai, this song definitely has some connection with a scene in police station as did the former song. Again, Mamta enters the song with Munni Badnaam huyi, and fades away fast, where Shreya takes the mike which was a bit unnecessary. I felt this song was recorded in a hurry and chaotically including a copy from Challat Musafir which again was not needed. A song sung by three singers and nobody gets the spot light only because the song couldn’t justify the singers' roles.Yes, one thing which is good, the lyrics, which will make the Dabangg audience feel better and get them up on their feet. For me, this was a way too over – excited song.
My Ratings for the song – 2.5/5, Mood – Marriage Procession, A desi party, anything that deals with free dance style.
3. Fevicol Se – by Mamta Sharma, Wajid, Keerti Sagathia, Uvie, Shadaab Faridi – SW finally, have come up with another to be, sensational item song, starring Kareena Kapoor, which for sure is getting the nation to groove in.The lyrics are purely Desi, and by desi, I mean, ekdum kadak, Mamta goes purely sensuous with her tone for this song and the punch line beat seems to catch the attention other than anything. The use of Dhol, Nagada, drums is superb. The video is definitely going to take it to some unbelievable level. I wonder, what step would Salman be doing for the song. This is the song which can take the Dabangg 2 banner a lot higher than it would be minus the 'fevicol' song.
My Ratings for the song – 4.5/5 Mood – Anytime, trust me and you start dancing.not when you are emotionally low.

4. Saanson Ne – by Sonu Nigam and Tulsi Kumar – Another music which would not create much impression, irrespective of the talent used for this song. Tulsi Kumar goes more nasal this time and the music is nowhere catchy. Lyrics, too are not that great to talk about and just because the banner is so big, the expectation we have is natural and with this song the audience would definitely be disappointed. No more comments on the song because it has failed to reach the expected level.
My Ratings for the song – 2/5, Mood – maybe when you are bored with all the other tracks.(no hard feelings).

5. Dabangg Reloaded – Hud Hud Dabangg created a tag line that across the nation was popular, and in Dabangg 2 same words gets repeated and nothing is new to the sequel. That is the only disappointing fact that we have for this song. Yet the music is powerful and dumdaar and with Sukhwinder Singh everything seems energetic. The starting music seems to be lifted from a song (wouldn’t name that Oscar nominated movie). The song seems to be a remix/power-mix of the original Hud Hud Dabangg. But, if we forget the Original one we can give good ratings to this track.
My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5 Mood – jogging, work out, driving.

The full album has some vital use of saxophone to remind of Dabangg music but the utilisation was not that great. SW, has disappointed with the full album yet some song, actually two songs seems nice and rest doesn’t match the level. There are 3 remix songs in and after hearing them I would say, they share equal stage with the real song except for Fevicol se, as the original track is way better. All I can say is, we need to wait for the video may be the choreography and the cinematography would do a lot of justice to the movie and keep the songs last within audience till 21st Dec. And when all else fails, we always have 'Sallu Bhai' to the rescue!
My Ratings for the Album – 3/5

A Deal with God

By Ankita Singh Deo

Running up that Hill

Artist- Kate Bush
Album- Hounds of Love
Released- 5th August, 1985

There are songs, and then, there is this. Powerful lyrics and breathtaking music. A song that you can’t stop listening to. A song that you can’t stop talking about.
Running up that hill, written by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, was the first single from her 1985 album Hounds of Love, released in the UK on 5 August 1985. It was the most successful of Bush's 1980s releases, entering the UK chart at No. 9 and eventually peaking at No. 3. The single also had an impact in the US, giving Bush her first chart hit there since 1978, where it reached the top 30, and featured prominently within the Dance Charts.

The song has everything. It comes across as passionate, painful, sensuous and chilling, all at the same time. ‘Is there so much hate for the ones we love? Tell me, we both matter, don't we? It's you and me. You and me won't be unhappy.’ The lines exude the brutal truths of love, establishing the fragile ties between love and lust, loss and pain, understanding and sacrifice. How one is willing to bear another’s pain by getting God to swap their places.
Allmusic journalist Amy Hanson wrote: "Always adept at emotion and beautifully able to manipulate even the most bitter of hearts, rarely has Bush penned such a brutally truthful, painfully sensual song."
About the song, Kate herself has said-
“I was trying to say that, really, a man and a woman can't understand each other because we are a man and a woman. And if we could actually swap each other's roles, if we could actually be in each other's place for a while, I think we'd both be very surprised! And I think it would lead to a greater understanding. And really the only way I could think it could be done was either... you know, I thought a deal with the devil, you know. And I thought, 'well, no, why not a deal with God!' You know, because in a way it's so much more powerful the whole idea of asking God to make a deal with you.”

Alternative rock band Placebo covered "Running Up that Hill", releasing it originally on the bonus disc of their 2003 album Sleeping with Ghosts, then featuring it on Covers and the US version of Meds in 2007. Placebo's take on the song is more downbeat than the original.

The song also featured in many popular television series, The Vampire Diaries, The O.C. and Bones

The song has been lent an extraordinary feel by Placebo which haunts you in amazing ways and justifies the band’s incomparable brand of dark, licentious rock beautifully.

Race 2 Official Trailer Unleashed

Music Director – Pritam Chakroborthy
Lyrics – Mayur Puri and Prashant Ingole
Director – Abbas Mastan (AM)

Race_2_Poster

The thriller yet sensuous  film by Abbas Mastan (AM), Race has its sequel set ready for a blast, a day before the Replubic day of India. Yes, AM have reserved 25th Jan, 2013 the day for the RACE. With a little change in the actors and the actress in the banner, the movie seems to be full of energy and revenge as from the trailer, which has a beginning dialogue, “Badla jitna purana hota hai, utna hi Khatarnak hota hai”. The music is really going to be awesome, remarking to the benchmark set by RACE. The posters and theatrical is released over the web world wide. The trailer, signifies some major portions for some actors and actress aka Racers, Saif, John and Deepika are those who were seen more in the trailer than others. Guess they have some major role in the movie. Amisha and Anil seem to be predictive with their characters as Sameera and Anil in Race. Jacqueline has some edge in the movie for sure and now we just wait for the music first and then the movie.

The trailer for this movie seems to be appealing enough to drag the audience into theatres, unlike to the amount of real action shown in it, there exists huge amount of glamour and dialogues that could be the secret element. AM have their own style of using cars and the action focussed on the car, and with cool cars the action seems just unexplainable. By having a look at the trailer one can imagine what AM has in store for us to watch in this movie, a power-packed, energetic and stylish movie to watch for. Hope the music creates an impact and sweep of our feet while grooving to the rhythm of RACE 2.

The sequel has its track-list officially published to make a buzz in the audience and hype the album for a kick start. The track-list seems fair but short, may be, if each song turns out to be a hit, the list will seem perfect. What we have to do is wait as we have a gap in the Bollywood music for now.
