Sequels definitely have a high underlying expectation from the audience, be it for the movie or the music. But,  frankly, music creates the first impression and that lasts long, and may be, raise the potential for the movie irrespective of its story. Keeping all speculations aside, we now talk of the much awaited sequel of the fourth highest grossing movie in bollywood of all time, and the expectations seem meaningless to count. The music album is released very soon after the official track-list release (Dabangg 2 Official Track list). Sajid – Wajid surely, are extremely excited to fabricate the music of this blockbuster sequel and it shows prominently in their compositions. Both being Indian music lovers, try hard to stick to the basic Instruments and less synthesisers, and yes, they give a lot of justice to their thoughts. The package has a song and remix combo, as everyone is aware of it, from the track-list, indeed no surprises!

Let’s take a tour into the Sajid – Wajid world of music…

1. Dagabaaz Re – by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghosal, Shadaab Faridi - Sweet music backed by cute lyrics, seems somewhat similar to Tere Mast mast do nain, as far as the set up is concerned. Whilst the music lone is new and definitely refreshing and quite soothing to ears. SW go orthodox, using the Tabla which raises the level of the song and creates a 100% compatibility with Rahat ji’s voice. Of course, this isn’t the music the teen mass would love to hear (no offense), but our senior citizens and elders would definitely, tap their foot and click their fingers listening this.

My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5, Mood – Get – together, Dance, Special Occasion.

2. Pandeyjee Seeti – by Wajid, Mamta Sharma, Shreya Ghosal – Reminding of Humka peeni hai, this song definitely has some connection with a scene in police station as did the former song. Again, Mamta enters the song with Munni Badnaam huyi, and fades away fast, where Shreya takes the mike which was a bit unnecessary. I felt this song was recorded in a hurry and chaotically including a copy from Challat Musafir which again was not needed. A song sung by three singers and nobody gets the spot light only because the song couldn’t justify the singers' roles.Yes, one thing which is good, the lyrics, which will make the Dabangg audience feel better and get them up on their feet. For me, this was a way too over – excited song.
My Ratings for the song – 2.5/5, Mood – Marriage Procession, A desi party, anything that deals with free dance style.
3. Fevicol Se – by Mamta Sharma, Wajid, Keerti Sagathia, Uvie, Shadaab Faridi – SW finally, have come up with another to be, sensational item song, starring Kareena Kapoor, which for sure is getting the nation to groove in.The lyrics are purely Desi, and by desi, I mean, ekdum kadak, Mamta goes purely sensuous with her tone for this song and the punch line beat seems to catch the attention other than anything. The use of Dhol, Nagada, drums is superb. The video is definitely going to take it to some unbelievable level. I wonder, what step would Salman be doing for the song. This is the song which can take the Dabangg 2 banner a lot higher than it would be minus the 'fevicol' song.
My Ratings for the song – 4.5/5 Mood – Anytime, trust me and you start dancing.not when you are emotionally low.

4. Saanson Ne – by Sonu Nigam and Tulsi Kumar – Another music which would not create much impression, irrespective of the talent used for this song. Tulsi Kumar goes more nasal this time and the music is nowhere catchy. Lyrics, too are not that great to talk about and just because the banner is so big, the expectation we have is natural and with this song the audience would definitely be disappointed. No more comments on the song because it has failed to reach the expected level.
My Ratings for the song – 2/5, Mood – maybe when you are bored with all the other tracks.(no hard feelings).

5. Dabangg Reloaded – Hud Hud Dabangg created a tag line that across the nation was popular, and in Dabangg 2 same words gets repeated and nothing is new to the sequel. That is the only disappointing fact that we have for this song. Yet the music is powerful and dumdaar and with Sukhwinder Singh everything seems energetic. The starting music seems to be lifted from a song (wouldn’t name that Oscar nominated movie). The song seems to be a remix/power-mix of the original Hud Hud Dabangg. But, if we forget the Original one we can give good ratings to this track.
My Ratings for the song – 3.5/5 Mood – jogging, work out, driving.

The full album has some vital use of saxophone to remind of Dabangg music but the utilisation was not that great. SW, has disappointed with the full album yet some song, actually two songs seems nice and rest doesn’t match the level. There are 3 remix songs in and after hearing them I would say, they share equal stage with the real song except for Fevicol se, as the original track is way better. All I can say is, we need to wait for the video may be the choreography and the cinematography would do a lot of justice to the movie and keep the songs last within audience till 21st Dec. And when all else fails, we always have 'Sallu Bhai' to the rescue!
My Ratings for the Album – 3/5
